ALPSP announces the appointment of Suzanne Kavanagh
to the newly created position of Director of Marketing and Membership
Services
The Association of Learned and Professional Society
Publishers (ALPSP; www.alpsp.org) – the
international association for scholarly and professional publishers - is pleased
to announce the appointment of Suzanne Kavanagh to the newly created position of
Director of Marketing and Membership Services.
Suzanne has worked in the publishing industry for
over 15 years, holding senior sales and marketing positions in at
Routledge/T&F and Continuum Publishing Group. Her most recent position
as Partnership Manager for Publishing at Creative Skillset has given her a
unique insight into publisher training needs and cross-industry solutions.
Suzanne will be responsible for strengthening the ALPSP brand, improving our
member benefits and support, and will seek to grow our membership. Suzanne
will join the senior management team of ALPSP and will report to the Chief
Executive, Audrey McCulloch.
Speaking of the appointment, ALPSP Chief Executive
Audrey McCulloch said: “We are delighted that Suzanne has chosen to join ALPSP
at this exciting time for the Association. She will play a key role in
ensuring that our membership continues to grow and that ALPSP members get
excellent value for money from their membership fees. Suzanne will also be
contributing to our professional development offering and continuing to raise
the profile and membership of ALPSP internationally. She will bring lots
of energy and enthusiasm and has broad experience of scholarly
publishing.
Suzanne added: “I am delighted to be joining ALPSP
and am looking forward to working with Audrey, the team and the membership. I'm
also excited about building on ALPSP's excellent work so the industry can face
future challenges with the support of a strong and dynamic trade
association.”
Suzanne Kavanagh has a Diploma in Direct Marketing
from the IDM. She will join ALPSP on 16 July 2012.
